“Who’s the Director?”
Know them. Learn them. Book them.
Every director has a distinct style—and knowing it can be the difference between getting a callback and getting booked. In this class, you’ll learn how to research, recognize, and adapt to different commercial directors’ tones, rhythms, and visual language. Stop guessing. Start tailoring. Book smarter.
This 10 day course offers a flexible schedule for the booking/working actor. Actors will choose 5 out of the 10 available classes. Each class intends to focus on a different Director and their style, giving working actors advanced access to shaping auditions for the Director you are auditioning for. Actors will have the option to do both in-person and virtual attendance.
Additional classes can be added to your course structure on a class by class basis.
The class will be taught by top working Session Runners in town, as well as attended by Arlene.
This class is IN PERSON located in Sherman Oaks. The classes are offered every day over a 2 week period. ***Zoom is only offered if you can’t make it in person that day but you still need to be located in Los Angeles
When submitting yourself please note which level you are + the dates you would like.
9:30am-12:00pm
$100/per class, 5 class minimum

Day #4- (Theatrical Director, Directing Commercials)
Day #5- (You can’t go too far-applying improv)
Day #6- (Comedic - Subtle)
Day #7- (When the Director Asks for Precision )
Day #8- (Ensemble)
Day #9- (Supporting the Celebrity)
Day #10-ARLENE Q&A (Virtual VIA ZOOM) Outdated Rules and Styles, Avail and Booking process and how it’s changed, Prepping ahead of time, preparing for when the Director is virtually present, etc.)
